In British Columbia, if you buy or have bought a metre of Trail and want your name on the Trail in BC you will be able to find it in one of the pavilion or Trail Markers listed below. Since this is a national trail you can choose to have your name in any pavilion located on or near the Trail anywhere in Canada.

There are 16 completed plus 2 future Pavilions/Trail Markers in B.C.: 
As of January, 2006 there are more than 31,356 individual names and 900 messages designated for BC.  We thank all the Trans Canada Trail supporters and proud Canadians that have submitted these names and messages.

North Vancouver

  • Aboriginal-Theme Pavilion
  • Opened June 21/2003 on National Aboriginal Day
  • Donor panel dedications: June 21, 2003; July 1, 2004; July 1, 2006
  • Waterfront Park west of Lonsdale Quay, by the Marine institute.
  • Large 4 post Pavilion Marker
  • As of July/11 - 740 names and 68 messages have been posted.

The City of North Vancouver, the Trans Canada Trail Foundation, along with other organizations are pleased to have worked in partnership with Squamish Nation Darren Yelton in the creation of a First Nations Theme pavilion.  He carved welcoming grandmother and grandfather greeting figures inviting friendship on the Trail, a place for everyone.  The pavilion is strategically situated in a scenic location on the Trans Canada Trail in Waterfront Park on the North Shore overlooking Burrard Inlet.

Granville Island, Vancouver
 
  • Alder Bay behind the False Creek Community Centre at the junction of Island Park Walk and Birch Walk. It is east of the Water Park at a site owned by CMHC.
  • Opened October 12, 1998
  • Donor panel dedications: October 12, 1998; April 14, 2000; June 23, 2001; September 13, 2003; April 23, 2005; July 7, 2007
  • Large 3-wall Trail Pavilion
  • As of July/11 - 10,456 names and  317 messages have been posted.


 

Burnaby Mountain, Burnaby
  • Burnaby Mountain Park at the top of Centennial Way near the Horizon Restaurant in Burnaby Mountain Park. From the parking lot, follow the path on the bank above the parking lot and follow it southward or away from the Horizon Restaurant.
  • Opened April 14, 2000)
  • Donor panel dedications: April 14, 2000; May 19, 2001; August 28, 2004; July 15, 2006; July 12, 2008
  • 18-panel single wall Trail Marker
  • As of July/11 - More than 1704 names and 60 messages have been posted


Town Centre Park, Coquitlam
  • The Coquitlam Pavilion, serving the Tri-Cities (Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody) is located in the Town Centre Park at the northeast corner of Lafarge Lake.  The easiest access is off Pinetree Way north from Lougheed Highway.  Watch for a small Lake on your right.

  • Opened April 15, 2000
  • Donor panel dedications: May 11, 2002; July 16, 2005
  • 6-panel Bantam Marker
  • As of July/11 - 541 names and 30 messages have been posted.
Pitt Meadows 
  • Trailhead at Harris Road and the South Alouette River dike.  It is North of the Lougheed Hwy on Harris Road.

Maple Ridge

 
  • Northwest of the Fairgrounds at Belle Morse Park on 105th Avenue north of Lougheed Hwy and west of 240th St.

  • Completed May 1, 2002
  • Donor panel dedications: September 11, 2004; August 19, 2006
  • Representatives for the sponsors of the Pitt Meadows and Maple Ridge Pavilions (those standing in the photo on left) Stan Wade of Meadow Ridge Rotary, Sandy Lane of the Haney, Paul Pederzini of Maple Ridge Community Savings, and David Boag of Parks and Recreation.  The two people in the centre are: Sherman Olson of the Trans Canada Trail Foundation and Don Richards the builder of the two pavilions (also on right).
Fort Langley
  • At the Fort site in Fort Langley at the corner of River Road and Mavis Street.
  • Opened April 16, 2000
  • Donor Panel Dedications: April 16, 2000; July 1, 2001; May 28, 2005; August 6, 2007
  • 6-panel Bantam Marker plus a  4-panel podium.
  • As of July/11  - 2,698 names and 65 messages.
Matsqui Trail, Abbotsford
  • Trailhead under the Mission-Abbotsford Bridge. It is part of the Matsqui Trail, close to the Matsqui Trail Park at the foot of Riverside Street along the Fraser River.
  • Opened April 16, 2000
  • Donor Panel dedication: October 6, 2001; June 25, 2005; July 19, 2008
  • 6-panel Bantam Marker
  • As of Jul/11 - 535 names and 23 messages 
Chilliwack
  • End of Lickman Road along the Vedder River. It is on the dike about 100 metres east of the parking lot.
  • 4-panel Trail Flash
  • Completed May 3, 2002
  • Donor Panel Dedications: July 10, 2004; September 9, 2006
  • As of July/11 - 312 names and 22 messages have been posted.

Mr. Bater and Mr. Webster (Chilliwack residents - Mr. Webster has lived in Chilliwack since 1917)

Hope
  • Hope Info Centre and museum at 919 Water Avenue, along Highway 1 near the north bank of the Fraser River.
  • Completed September 9, 2000
  • Donor panel dedications: September 9, 2000; September 19 2004; August 5, 2006
  •  6-panel Bantam Marker
  •  As of July/11 - More than 946 names and 14 messages have been posted.
Selkirk Bridge, Victoria


  • West end of the Selkirk Bridge  at the north end of Tyee Road, north of the Bay Street Bridge
  • Opened September 9, 1999
  • Other Dedications: April, 2000; November 2, 2003; October 30, 2005
  • Large 3-wall Trail Pavilion
  • As of Jan/11 - more than 7536 names and 198 messages have been posted.
Nanaimo
  • 3rd Street Connector on the TCT on the NW corner of  Serauxmen Stadium grounds behind the Nanaimo District Secondary School.
  • Opened November 27, 1999
  • Other dedications: April 2000, June 2003
  • 18-panel single wall Trail Marker 
  • As of Jul/11 - more than 1874 names and  41 messages have been posted.
Penticton
  • On the east Okanagan Lake Park  in the Rotary Park near the where Penticton Creek enters Okanagan Lake.
  • Opened October 17, 1998
  • Donor Panel Dedications: October 17, 1998, May 2000; May 22, 2003
  • Large 3-wall Trail Pavilion
  • As of Jul/11 more than 4782 names and  171 messages have been posted.
Cranbrook
  • Located in Baker Park at 1st South and 14th Avenue in Cranbrook.  From Highway 3, turn onto 1st South and head east for 8 blocks.
  • Opened May 8, 2005
  • Donor Panel Dedications: May 8, 2005
  • 6-Panel Bantam Marker
  • As of July/11 - more than 836 names and 27 messages have been posted.
Fernie
 
  • Located upstream of the West Fernie Highway #3 Bridge over the Elk River.
  • Opened May 7, 2005
  • Donor Panel Dedications May 7, 2005
  • 6-Panel Bantam Marker
  • As of Jul/11 -  more than 408 names and 8 messages have been posted.
Trail
  • Located upstream from the bridge over the Columbia river in  Gyro park.
  • Opened - September 25, 2005

  • 6-Panel Bantam Marker
  • 780 names and ? messages (equivalent) (plus 22 to be posted)
 

Two more pavilions now open in BC since 2010:
